Mason man sentenced for child endangering

A Mason man was sentenced Monday on one count of child endangering, a felony of the second degree, announced Warren County Prosecutor Rachel Hutzel.

Rashid Bell, 34, was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail, serve three years on community control, complete an anger management assessment, and undergo a mental health assessment.
Bell pleaded guilty to the charge on Feb. 28. Hutzel said Bell committed the offense while attempting to discipline his children on Sept. 12. Bell was upset because the children had broken a toilet. He struck the victim multiple times, and then pushed the child into a wall. The victim suffered bruises and injuries to the face, including an orbital fracture.
