FAIRFIELD — The Claudia Rudolf Barrett Foundation and ballet tech ohio present three performances of "Nutcracker Treats" this weekend at the Fairfield Community Arts Center.

An abbreviated version of the ever-popular ballet, "The Nutcracker," featuring the timeless Tchaikovsky score, this version brings to life the magical characters that every young dancer enjoys performing.

Justine Betz, 15, of West Chester will be featured as the Snow Queen in the Saturday, Nov. 22, evening performance of "Nutcracker Treats," in which she dances with former Cincinnati Ballet dancer Sergey Pakharev. In the other performances, she will be featured as the Dew Drop Fairy, a Doll, Mirliton and Waltzing Flower.

Santa Claus also flies in from the North Pole to visit with young audience members, and a "warm-up" show, choreographed by Lyrica Joy Smith and Liza Sovdsnes featuring holiday jazz and tappers, will add to this special event.

Guest artists also include Cervilio Amador, principal dancer of the Cincinnati Ballet, and Jay Goodlet, formerly of the Cincinnati Ballet, performing with the award-winning dancers of Claudia Rudolf Barrett's ballet tech ohio, including Haley Abelardo, Sierra Abelardo, Audrey Carr, Hallie Carr, Carley Fisher, Jeff Flowers, Talley Flowers, Rachel Haney, Ellen Haney, Jamie Jenkins, Katie Skelly, Shelby Latham, Kailey Rausch, Hannah Shaw, Liam Shaw, Serena Sovdsnes, Bethany Tann, Arriona Tann, Christopher Wells, Alex Wells and Patrick Wells.
