Tony Bradley, a dominant quarterback at Talawanda High School, and Marianne Morris, whose professional golf career has spanned three decades, will be part of the 28th class of inductees into the Butler County Sports Hall of Fame.
Bradley and Morris will join nine other inductees in ceremonies to be held Nov. 29 at The Courtyard by Marriott in Hamilton.
The other new hall-of-famers will be Dick Ballard, Ken Cohen, Paul Fernandez, Norm Grevey Jr., Patrick Kreke, Travis Myers, Di Armogida Princell, Dominic “Dom” Scrimizzi and Tyrice Walker.
Bradley played at Talawanda from 1968-70 and still owns six school records.
He is first in career total offense (4,090 yards), touchdowns scored in a game (five), total points in a game (34), pass completions in a game (17), total yards in a game (319) and the longest punt return for a touchdown (68 yards).
Bradley is the only Talawanda athlete to score 25 touchdowns and pass for 25 touchdowns in a career and the only one to exceed 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards passing in a season.
Morris has competed in 12 U.S. Women’s Open golf championships from 1985 to 2006 and played in 28 majors total during a 17-year career on the LPGA Tour.
Morris joined the LPGA in 1990 after two years on the Futures Tour, where she earned her first professional victory in 1989.
Her best finish in a major was a tie for third at the 1995 McDonald’s LPGA Championship. Her career-best finish in the LPGA was second in the 1996 Jamie Farr Kroger Classic.
Morris is a four-time Middletown Junior City champion (1980-83) and a two-time Middletown Women’s City champion (1983-84).
Tickets for the induction dinner are $25 and can be purchased in Hamilton at Clark’s Sporting Goods and Tom’s Cigar Store, and in Middletown at Stefano’s Italian Cafe.
A general reception will begin at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 and the induction program at 7.
