Sean, Jim Tressel is a good man. In reality he is still a Div 2 coach. He is predictable, he doesn't go on 4th and a yard. He will never be successful if they keep playing week schools. That is why we lose the big games. I am a true Buckeye fan, but we need is a coach like you mentioned in your piece. Like I said, Jim is a good man. But in football, you must be a warrior, Jim is not a warrior.

daized...sorry to tell you this but the wins against Michigan mean nothing. That program is about as strong as Indiana, which just reinforces the buckeyes soft and I mean really soft schedule. Ohio State is all about softy.

Odaized, how old are you? The best coach OSU has ever had? PLEASE! One title? And hes the best ever? Do me a favor. Look up "Woody Hayes" and get back to me. One title, a cupcake schedule and a yearly thrashing by the SEC does not make the vest the best ever.

Self reporting violations after being caught are still violations. The stats were of football and nothing else.

Nice try "truth"...13 violations over the 36 sport athletic program at OSU...all minor...4 by the football team...2 by men's basketball...
If the rest of the entire Big Ten is only reporting 8, OSU should be commended for its honesty...

For "Truth".. here is a link to the real truth, the recruiting violations you speak of. IMO OSU is very honest with the self reporting and yet perhaps your team is not so honest? Next time get the facts before you try to distort image.

Maybe the Vest should focus on his corrupt program. With all the arrest of players that have to be tased to be subdued, he has other issues besides not speaking. Maybe he should also clean up the dirty program that had 13 of the 21 recruiting violations in the Big 10. (For you Buckeye fans that is over half - which means more than the other 10 teams combined).

But that is the truth, and you, along with the DDN choose to ignore it.

Personally i think Coach Tress is too soft and it rubs off on the team. From the Interviews to the on the field play. Thats why i love a guy like TP. The kid speaks his mind and holds nothing back he lets it be known what needs to be done and his mind set is we gonna hold no prisoners. I hope Coach Tress dont get to him and make him like he is.

nice guys finish last. Tressel is too much of a robot,thats why he looses the big games so much. He has no fire, no punch. You are just sore at Myer because he pounded the buckeyes. With all the recruiting studs OSU has had the last 10 years Ohio State should have had at least 3 Sears Trophy's.
