COLUMBUS — Samantha Prahalis hit a 3-pointer from the right wing with 41 seconds left, giving No. 10 Ohio State the boost it needed to hold off No. 16 Purdue 80-71 Sunday, turning the Big Ten race into a four-team logjam.

Prahalis scored 26 points with Amber Stokes adding 14, Ashley Adams 13 and conference scoring leader Tayler Hill 12. The Buckeyes finished with a 7-0 run.

Ohio State (22-3, 9-3) finds itself tied with Purdue, Penn State and Nebraska — all with three losses in the Big Ten.

Brittany Rayburn had 22 points and Sam Ostarello 12 for the Boilermakers (19-6, 9-3).

With the Buckeyes hanging on to a two-point lead, Prahalis’ three-pointer gave them some breathing room and touched off the late uprising.

West Virginia 65, No. 2 Notre Dame 63: Brooke Hampton made two free throws with 4.6 seconds remaining to snap the Irish’s 21-game winning streak.

Men’s highlights

No. 22 Michigan 70, Illinois 61: Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 15 points and Evan Smotrycz added 13 as Michigan remained unbeaten at home.

Trey Burke added 14 points for the Wolverines (19-7, 9-4 Big Ten).

Brandon Paul had 21 points and Tyler Griffey added 18 for Illinois (16-9, 5-7), which has lost six of seven.

No. 12 Georgetown 71, St. John’s 61: Freshman Greg Whittington scored a career-high 12 points to drop the Red Storm to a nation’s-worst 0-10 against Top 25 teams.

Detroit 77, Green Bay 74: Chase Simon scored 24 points and Ray McCallum Jr. 15 to lead the Titans (15-12, 9-6 Horizon League), who held on as Green Bay missed three 3-point attempts in the final nine seconds.

Keifer Sykes had 14 points to lead five players scoring in double figures for the Phoenix (10-14, 6-8). Alec Brown added 13 points, Kam Cerroni 12 and Brennan Cougill and Steve Baker 11 each.

Seton Hall 73, Pittsburgh 66: Herb Pope scored 19 points, including four free throws in final 10 seconds, and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Seton Hall.

Freshman Aaron Cosby had a season-high 19 points for the Pirates (17-8, 6-7 Big East).
