RedHawks picked 2nd in MAC East

CLEVELAND — The Mid-American Conference announced its 2011 preseason volleyball poll on Tuesday, and the Miami RedHawks were picked to finish second in the MAC East Division. Senior middle hitter Cassie Farrell was selected to the All-MAC East Division Preseason Team.

Ohio was the pick to win the East, receiving 11 first-place votes. After Miami, Akron was third, receiving the other first-place vote. Buffalo, Bowling Green and Kent State rounded out the East Division picks.
