FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Miami University senior Kevin Dwyre is in 13th place midway through the decathlon competition at the NCAA Track & Field Championships.
Dwyre, who entered the first day of competition Wednesday, June 10 ranked 11th nationally in the event, had his best performance in the high jump. He tied for third, clearing 6 feet, 7.5 inches.
He was 17th (out of 26 competitors) in the 100-meter dash, 10th in the long jump, 13th in the shot put and 19th in the 400 dash.
“I didn’t have any huge marks today, but they were all solid,” Dwyer said.
The decathlon will conclude today, June 11 with the 110 hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and 1,500 run.
