Miami golfers sixth at Saint Mary’s

SEASIDE, Calif. — The Miami University men’s golf team shot a final round team score of 5-over-par 293 to finish in sixth place at the Saint Mary’s Invitational Tuesday.

Nathan Sutherland shot a final round 76 to finish as the top Miami individual with a 1-over-par 289. He tied for fourth overall.

Miami will return to the links for the spring portion of its schedule in February.

Miele garners INCH National honor

OXFORD — Miami University senior forward Andy Miele continues to bring in the awards after a career weekend, as he was named the INCH National Player of the Week, Inside College Hockey announced Monday.

The assistant captain also was named CCHA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Miele totaled nine points in Miami’s CCHA-opening sweep of Northern Michigan with a pair of goals and seven assists.

The top-ranked RedHawks return to the ice this weekend, Oct. 29-30, by hosting Lake Superior State in a pair of CCHA contests.
