Miami University junior Kelsey Horst, a 2007 graduate of Lakota West High School, is this year’s recipient of the $1,000 Bill Moeller Scholarship Award.
Horst will receive the award tonight, Nov. 29, at the 28th annual Butler County Sports Hall of Fame induction dinner at The Courtyard by Marriott in Hamilton.
She has a double major in English Literature and Psychology, and is a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society for Psychology.
The scholarship is awarded annually in memory of Moeller, the late, longtime sports editor and columnist of the JournalNews.
Tonight’s Hall of Fame inductees will be Dick Ballard, Tony Bradley, Ken Cohen, Paul Fernandez, Norm Grevey Jr., Patrick Kreke, Marianne Morris, Travis Myers, Di Armogida Princell, Dominic “Dom” Scrimizzi and Tyrice Walker.
A general reception will begin at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 and the induction program at 7.
