NEW MIAMI — Austin Morgan scored 21 points and Steven Rogers added 11 on Tuesday night as New Miami High School’s boys basketball team put up a good fight before losing to visiting Taylor 51-41.
Dylan Lee’s 20 points paced the Yellow Jackets (5-14). The Vikings fell to 1-18.
Harrison 58, Ross 41: The host Wildcats nailed eight of their 12 treys in the second half and pulled away for the Fort Ancient Valley Conference West Division win.
Max Mischkulnig (14) and Brandon Fernandez (10) were the top scorers for the Rams (13-6 overall, 9-4 FAVC). Harrison improved to 9-10, 6-7.
Mount Healthy 50, Talawanda 30: The visiting Braves scored just 10 points in the first half and fell to 7-12 overall and 5-8 in the FAVC West. The Owls are 9-10, 7-6.
Nolan Robinson had seven points and five rebounds for THS.
Northwest 78, Edgewood 41: The visiting Cougars jumped to an 11-2 lead, then got steamrolled by the Knights.
Mason Back had 12 points for Edgewood, which dropped to 1-18 overall and 1-12 in the FAVC West. Northwest is 12-7, 10-3.
Bowling
Indians win GMC title: Fairfield’s girls bowling team completed an unbeaten regular season Monday, rolling past Lakota East 2,396-1,343 at Fairfield Lanes.
Heather Scott’s 221-192—413 series led the Indians, who won the outright Greater Miami Conference title with a 9-0 mark and were 18-0 overall.
