BOYS BASKETBALL

MIDDLETOWN CHRISTIAN 75, NEW MIAMI 38: The Vikings dropped the Foundation Game scrimmage against the Eagles despite Jamaar Kotey’s 16 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

HAMILTON 46, WITHROW 42: Big Blue won their season-opener Saturday afternoon as three players scored in double figures. Dominique Singletary led the way with 16 points to go along with four assists and six steals, and Jalyn Ash and Danielle Sorber each had 10 points with Ash adding a team-high seven rebounds. Hamilton (1-0) will travel to Harrison on Tuesday.

NEW MIAMI 46, TAYLOR 43: Kim Gault had a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds, and Alyssa Rison had a game-high 20 points to go along with six rebounds, three assists and four steals as the Vikings opened their season with a victory Saturday afternoon. Gault made just one field goal but went 12-of-16 from the free throw line as New Miami improved to 1-0.
