GIRLS SOCCER
FAIRFIELD WINS TWO (Junior varsity): The Indians got two goals from Lauren Hoover and one each from Rachel Daniels and Bethany Wilson to post a 4-0 win over Lakota West. Kaylin Bourgholtzer and Jamie Daniels combined for the shutout with four saves. Fairfield (4-1) also beat Glen Este 4-1 on Saturday, Sept. 4, with goals by Bethany Wilson, Daniels, Hoover and Gabby Dickerson.
ROSS WINS ONE, LOSES ONE (Junior varsity): The Rams opened the season with a 5-2 loss to Madeira but rebounded for a 7-0 triumph at Winton Woods. Scoring in the loss were Abby Walters and Josie Harrision, with Allie Hall adding an assist. Abby Walters scored five more goals in the win against the Warriors, with Cassi Young adding the other two. Assists came from Kaeli Morton (two), Christy Kohorst (two), Erica Gentry, Jessica Bricking and Harrison.
BOYS SOCCER
ROSS GOES 0-1-1 (Junior varsity): The Rams tied Badin 2-2, with Dillon Ayers scoring both goals. Ross dropped a 5-4 decision to Winton Woods. Alex Rivers scored two goals, while Ayers and Mike Patton added one goal apiece.

ROSS 176, NORTHWEST 188 (Junior varsity): Kyle Roitting shot 42 to earn medalist honors in the Rams’ victory. Drew Dietz (43), Samantha Madden (43), P.J. Olmer (48), Zach Burnett (54) and Alex Carey (55) also competed for Ross.
FOOTBALL
ROSS 16, THREE RIVERS 14 (Seventh grade): Blake Marston scored two touchdowns and had a conversion run in the Rams’ victory. Lee Yates caught a conversion pass from Dustin Foley and Corey Burton had an intercpetion for Ross (1-0).
CROSS COUNTRY
ROSS BOYS, GIRLS SWEEP TITLES (Freshmen and sophomores): The Rams boys and girls freshmen and sophomores won the boys and girls championships at the Eaton Eagles Frosh/Soph Invitational on Tuesday, Aug. 31. Jessie Reinhard won the girls race in 17 minutes, 53 seconds, Sarah Kaiser was second in 19:47 and Madison Lewis was third in 19:54. Clint Oliver won the boys race in 15:52 and Sean Fisher was fourth in 16:38, followed by Jesse King, sixth in 17:11; Will Buelsing, seventh in 17:25; Trey Odell, eighth in 17:44; Casey Baker, 11th; and Ben Geraci, 17th.
