Tens of thousands of votes have been counted and the results are in!
Cincinnati Christian fullback John Katenkamp is the runaway winner of the Journal-News.com Player of the Year, thanks to 57,702 votes cast his way.
Katenkamp, who collected 77 percent of the total votes, rushed for 1,483 yards and 19 TDs.
Badin's Patrick Coyne finished second in the voting, followed by Lakota West's Jordan Thompson. All candidates for Player of the Year were Player of the Week winners during the 2009 football season.
