BADIN 46, GOSHEN 33: Courtney Hubbard scored a career-high 25 points as the Rams won on the road at Goshen on Monday night, Feb. 1. Badin (13-3) trailed 3-2 early, but went on a 15-0 run to blow open the game. They led 20-8 at halftime and 32-10 at the end of the third quarter. Badin will travel to Roger Bacon on Wednesday with the Girls Greater Cincinnati League Grey Central Division title on the line.
BOYS BOWLING
FAIRFIELD 2,845, LAKOTA WEST 2,740: Connor Sutton rolled a 510 series to lead the Indians to a Greater Miami Conference win on Monday, Feb. 1, at Princeton Bowl. His high game was a 267. Mike Hoskins led the Firebirds with a 451 series and high game of 243. Fairfield improved to 9-4, 5-4 GMC, while Lakota West fell to 7-5, 5-4.

FAIRFIELD 2,381, LAKOTA WEST 1,913: Ciara Stroschen had a high series of 401 to lead the Indians to a Greater Miami Conference win on Monday, Feb. 1, at Fairfield Lanes. Her high game was a 216. Ashley Jeffers led the Firebirds with a 290 series. Gabby Trease had a high game of 164 for West. Fairfield improved to 8-5, 5-4 GMC, while Lakota West falls to 1-11, 1-8.
HOCKEY
BRAVES SPLIT WEEKEND GAMES: The Talawanda High School hockey team split two games over the weekend, defeating St. Xavier 5-2 on Friday, Jan. 29, and losing to Sycamore 4-1 on Sunday. Jake Jackson had a hat trick against the Bombers, while Ryan Marks and Kyle Engel had single tallies. Engel, Willy Davidge, Zach Sens, Chris Osborne and Tom Clayton had assists. David Yeakle preserved the win in goal. Andy Sens made 28 saves vs. Sycamore, but it wasn’t enough for the Braves, whose only goal came from Marks off an assist from Clayton. THS (11-11-3 overall and 5-5 in the Southwest Ohio High School Hockey League) wraps up the regular season at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at home vs. Dublin Coffman.
