HAMILTON — Badin High School’s girls basketball team wrapped up its third straight Girls Greater Cincinnati League Grey Central Division championship Wednesday night, rolling past visiting Purcell Marian 63-30.
Torey Stang had 14 points for the Rams, who tied a single-game school record with nine 3-pointers. Abby Fritsch and Kara Gerbus scored 12 points apiece.
Badin, 13-4 overall and 6-3 in the GGCL, has won nine of its last 10 games.
Oak Hills 43, Hamilton 40: Host Big Blue couldn’t overcome 6-of-18 free-throw shooting, dropping to 11-6 overall and 5-6 in the Greater Miami Conference.
Jillian Spurlock’s 12 points paced HHS.
Cincinnati Christian 53, St. Bernard 39: Anna Wolford (20), Abby Wolford (12) and Kirsten Paul (10) led the visiting Cougars in scoring as they improved to 9-6 overall and 6-5 in the Miami Valley Conference Gray Division, clinching at least a share of the title.
Harrison 45, Ross 36: Kaitlyn Pennekamp (12 points) and freshman Sarah Merrill (seven points, seven steals) led the host Rams, who are 7-11 overall and 3-9 in the Fort Ancient Valley Conference West Division.
Mason 52, Fairfield 28: Caitlin James’ six points topped the visiting Indians (4-13, 1-11 GMC).
