Bengals not the best after bye week

Hot Topics

Staff report 2:06 AM Saturday, November 7, 2009

Some teams come out firing after bye weeks. The Cincinnati Bengals have done just the opposite in the Marvin Lewis era. They are 1-4-1 in six tries, winless since 2003. Another chance arises Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. Here’s the history:

Season, Post-bye week result

2003, Beat Baltimore at home 34-26.

2004, Lost at Cleveland 34-17

2005, Lost to Indianapolis at home 45-37

2006, Lost at Tampa Bay 14-13.

2007, Lost at Kansas City 27-20.

2008, Tied Philadelphia at home 13-13.

Season, Post-bye week result:
2009 Beat Baltimore at home 17-7.
Ravens say thank you for present Ocho Cinco because Baltimore stink-o!
4-0 in division someday we'll earn our stripes. Defense baby!
By the way the only result that matters is the present, don't judge on the past.
Welcome to the Jungle!

Well after reading this article I see why you write for the Oxford Press and not ESPN. Lets talk about how the Bengals beat the Steelers at home this year ?? So if they did that they can beat this bye week crap article.

Oxford press needs to cover Miami and Talawanda not the Bengals. Lets leave that for the Big boys

who who who who who who dey? The last 2 years we didn't have Palmer, he makes this team go. 2006 against Tampa we got screwed with a roughing the passer call on Geathers. 2005 I wouldn't say we came out slow putting up 37 points. *** your little article.
