Tricia McCutchan continues to be a volleyball force at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
The Badin High School graduate and 5-foot-11 sophomore middle hitter leads the Spartans in kills (169) and blocks (44), also totaling 53 digs and nine aces.
Case is 12-2 and begins University Athletic Association play this weekend in Rochester, N.Y.
• Senior libero Amanda Binggeli (Lakota East) has 114 digs and seven aces for Findlay (3-11).
Football
Freshman running back Patrick Bourne (Hamilton) and sophomore defensive back Nate Jackson (Badin) are contributing for Indianapolis (1-4).
Bourne has rushed for 70 yards on 18 carries. Jackson has four solo tackles and four assists.
Women’s soccer
Freshman midfielder/forward Brittany Bowman (Ross) is the third-leading scorer for Mount St. Joseph, which stands 5-3-1 overall and 1-0 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Bowman has three goals and three assists.
Men’s golf
Freshman David Tepe (Lakota East) finished in a tie for eighth individually last week, helping Cincinnati take third place in the 15-team Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational in Muncie, Ind.
Tepe shot a 5-over-par 71-70-74—215.
Men’s tennis
Cleveland State senior Ryan Hamning (Lakota East) is 6-2 in singles and 5-1 in doubles this fall.
Men’s soccer
Two local products have helped Kentucky get off to a 7-1 start this season.
Senior forward Tim Crone (Lakota East) has one goal and one assist for the Wildcats. Junior Drew Midkiff (Fairfield) is a starting defender.
