Dan Hurley has been touted as having one of the most up and coming squads in the Atlantic 10 this summer and now he'll be without one of his most up and coming players. In a release from the school Friday, it was announced that center Jordan Hare has taken a leave of absence from the program.
The 6'10 Hare started 19 games for the Rams a year ago and posted over 5 points and 4 rebounds per game. It is not yet known whether or not he will return to the team.
Hare was supposed to be a part of the core developing group that Hurley has brought to Rhode Island. This year's team is expected to be lead by transfers Biggie Minnis, Gil Biruta, and Jarelle Reischel, along with the A10's leading returning scorer Xavier Munford.
Rhode Island will start their season Friday November 8 in a home match up against the Black Bears of Maine.
