The NFL league meetings are taking place in Phoenix this week, and that brings together most of the league's coaches. The Harbaugh brothers are among that group, and they were able to provide a little more context to the recent Anquan Boldin trade.

Matt Maiocco had a chance to talk with both brothers, and it is amusing to note John was fairly quick to get Jim on the phone to discuss dealing Anquan Boldin to the 49ers. In assessing this, John likely knew the team needed some more depth at wide receiver, he also knew the Ravens and 49ers would not be facing off anytime soon outside of future Super Bowls. Having a brother on the end likely made it easier to hammer this out quickly.

Once the Ravens decided the finances were not going to work with Boldin, John was quickly on the phone:

"I called him up and said, 'Would you be interested?' He said, 'Heck yeah. I'll go talk to Trent,'" said John Harbaugh, referring to 49ers general manager Trent Baalke.

John Harbaugh made the initial phone call at 3:30 p.m. (ET), and within 30 minutes Baalke and Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome worked out the details.

Jim and John made an appearance on Mike Florio's Pro Football Talk and discussed the trade, their motivation, potentially facing off in another Super Bowl and a few other interesting topics.
