This will be Murray's first action since Week 6, when he sustained a sprained MCL versus the Washington Redskins. The injury was never expected to keep him out long-term, and Murray was close to returning for the Cowboys in Week 8. Playing it safe by giving Murray the extra week of rest does not come as a surprise for a team looking to get a player with a lengthy injury history back on track.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy owners can go ahead and plug Murray back into the lineup as an RB2 with plenty of upside versus a Vikings defense that has been abused as of late. Only two teams have allowed more than their nine rushing touchdowns on the season, and their average of 113 rushing yards allowed per game provides a wide-open opportunity for Murray to get his season back on track.
With six teams on a bye, there aren't many options at the running-back position that present a higher floor than the Cowboys' feature back this week. Start him with confidence, and handcuff Joseph Randle can be stashed away like any other handcuff running back.
