The independently owned and operated Little Art Theatre in Yellow Springs will host an encore of its special program of more than a dozen music videos by the late Michael Jackson on Saturday, July 11 at 1:30 PM. This special event is free and open to the public, although an optional donation of your choice will support the Little Art and its programming. The encore is in response to the event's startling success over the holiday weekend. An late Friday night show resulted in a packed house, requiring the last-minute addition of a 1AM show for overflow. This 1 hour, 45 minute program includes the original, uncut versions of "Thriller," directed by John Landis; "Bad," directed by Martin Scorsese; "The Way You Make Me Feel"; the original "Smooth Criminal," from the film Moonwalker; and the uncensored version of "Black or White," also by Landis. Also scheduled are "Billie Jean," "Beat It," "Leave Me Alone," "Remember the Time," "Scream" (with Janet Jackson), "They Don't Care About Us" (directed by Spike Lee), and "You Rock My World." Michael Jackson made an undeniable impact on the idea of the music video as artform, rather than just a promotional item, and the Little Art is proud to pay tribute to his incredible talent. "As the world mourns the loss of this enigmatic icon, we wanted to pay tribute to his remarkable talent," said Little Art owner Jenny Cowperthwaite Ruka.
