Twitter mourns the loss of Vine by sharing their favorite videos

When Vine announced its app was shutting down Thursday, users of the app were upset.

Although the social media video app, popular largely for six-second comedy videos, says it won't close the app right away, creators and fans are already tweeting #RIPVine.

"We value you, your Vines, and are going to do this the right way. The app said in a statement on Medium, "You'll be able to access and download your Vines. We'll be keeping the website online because we think it's important to still be able to watch all the incredible Vines that have been made."

In the meantime, Twitter is mourning the Vine app's impending shut down by posting their favorite Vines.
