Mason Community Band Spring Concert

Banana Split Festival

The town of Wilmington likes to use this annual festival to bolster its claim as the inventors of the banana split. (A town in Pennsylvania begs to differ). As you ponder where you stand on this issue, enjoy the banana split eating contest, live music, games, and the car show. You can also participate in a 5K run or watch a baseball tournament. Check it out in downtown Wilmington on June 9-10. Festival hours are 4-10 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday. There is no admission cost. This legendary singer/songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee achieved massive success in the 1960s as one-half of Simon & Garfunkel before continuing making hits as a solo artist. Old-Fashioned Strawberry Festival

This annual festival features strawberries in myriad forms, from shortcakes to ice cream. But the festival also offers a variety of picnic-style food, an antique tractor show, live Welsh harp and organ music, country crafts, and local art.
