If you can’t make it to the Great American Beer Tasting at Fifth Third Field this weekend, or just don’t want to wait, then check out these local beer tasting events that happen regularly. Do you have a beer tasting or know of one coming up?
Arrow isn’t just for wine. You can taste five beers each week during Friday beer tastings at their Centerville location.
Beer lovers make a pilgramage to Peach’s Grill in Yellow Springs for a reason — beer and plenty of it. With 20 taps serving up frothy drafts, the majority of which are regularly rotated, there’s always something new to try. Peach’s beer master class offers visitors a 4-ounce pour of four different beers. At the end of the event, choose a pint of the beer you liked the best — all of which is included in the $10 price tag. Can’t make it to the tasting? Visit Peach’s on any Tuesday you wish to take advantage of the $2 Tuesday special on all imported bottled beers. And if you really love the beer you tasted, be sure to ask about purchasing a growler to go.
If you want to break out of the typical draft brew funk and sample some soon-to-be-favorites, then head to Trolley Stop on the first Wednesday of every month. You can try nine samples at the monthly tasting hosted by Mike Schwartz from Belmont Party Supply. Tasters get to vote on their favorite, which will be offered on tap all month long. There are also tasty snacks.
Boston’s prides itself on offering the most imported craft beers in Dayton. They have more than 90 bottled varieties and offer a rotating selection of 12 craft beers on tap. They have monthly and special event beer tastings. They also will conduct beer tastings for your special event. Although not a beer tasting event, a favorite is their Friday Pizza Happy Hours. They serve all their beer selections with free unique pizzas out for everyone to taste.
