If you're looking for a bar and grill with friendly service and great food, then Easy's in the Village is for you. The restaurant was purchased by the current owners a little more than a year ago, and in that time major changes have occurred.

"People have always loved the food at Easy's, and now we're trying to make our place family-friendly so parents can bring their kids to dinner," said owner Teri Hudson. Hudson, along with her husband, Gary, also has plans to open a beer garden next to the restaurant in July.

"We think the beer garden will be a nice place for people to relax, while enjoying the menu and live music," Hudson said

The menu at Easy's is casual and all foods can be ordered for dine-in or carryout. Appetizers include Mozzarella Sticks, Potato Wedges, Chicken Strips and Hot Wings, which are among the best in the area. Easy's chef, Mike Powell, is responsible for creating many of the sauces that are used on the wings, and his garlic sauce is a customer favorite.

"I have a lot of seasonings here, and even though the sauces I create are pretty straight forward, they blend in well with our wings," he said. Barbecue, teriyaki and medium sauces also can be ordered.

Another favorite at Easy's is the Hot Pepper Cheese Steak sandwich, which is 8 ounces of shredded rib eye with red onion, banana peppers, jalapeno peppers and mayo, covered with melted hot pepper cheese. In addition, the menu features a variety of subs. Burgers at Easy's are made from a half pound of Black Angus steak, with a variety of toppings available. Pizza lovers won't be disappointed with the variety of toppings.

"I think people who are not from Hamilton, or who have not been here in awhile, don't realize just how nice this place is," said Easy's General Manager Christi Brannan. Brannan said the staff always is willing to make sandwiches and pizzas to order so that their customers will want to keep coming back. A new kid's menu has been added for those younger than 10, and features smaller portions of chicken fingers, fries and burgers for $3.99. For those who are watching their waistline, Easy's has a light menu that features salads, soup, and tuna and veggie wraps. The owners are in the process of developing their dessert menu.
