The General Electric Co. announced in June 2014 it selected downtown Cincinnati's riverfront development The Banks to build its only U.S. Global Operations Center. The company and developers will receive income tax breaks, property tax exemptions and parking discounts from the local governments, as well as incentives already approved by state government.
