New Butler County businesses help Ohio set record

Last month was the best month for new business formation in Ohio’s history.

A total of 12,827 new entities filed to do business in the state during March, an increase of 2,349 when compared to the same month in 2016, according to Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted.

So far, 33,064 new entities have filed to do business in Ohio in 2017.

This year, three out of every four entities founded were started online, according to the state.

Earlier this year, Husted announced that 2016 was the seventh consecutive year the state has seen a record number of new entities filing to do business in Ohio.
