Cabela’s kicks off pre-Black Friday deals: Here’s what to expect

Cabela’s has kicked off 14 days of Pre-Black Friday deals on everything from firearms to hunting boots and apparel.

The outdoor retailer will offer new deals every day through Nov. 22. Cabela’s stores close on Thanksgiving, but open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday for door buster deals.

Last year, more than 1,200 people waited in line at the Cabela’s in Centerville for special deals on Black Friday. The store, located at 5500 Cornerstone North Blvd., gave away around $8,000 in prizes, including gift cards, a firearm, a knife and a meat smoker.

New deals will be highlighted every day on Cabela's website. This is the first holiday season for the retailer since it was acquired by Bass Pro Shops earlier this year. Bass Pro Shops will also offer special deals throughout the holiday season.

Bass Pro also launched its Santa’s Wonderland at stores nationwide this week, featuring free photos with Santa and free holiday activities including crafts and games for the whole family. Most Bass Pro shops remain open on Thanksgiving.

“The Christmas village offers remote control trucks, a Lincoln Logs building area, a laser arcade and a foam toy arcade. Families can also spend time at activity tables where they can write a letter to Santa and make Christmas decorations and handmade crafts to take home, all for free,” Bass Pro announced.
