Walk to raise funds for violence prevention upcoming
Artemis Center’s fundraising walk, Walk Away From Violence, will take place on Memorial Day, Mon. May 31 at Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark.
The 5K walk generates support for Artemis Center’s work with domestic violence victims and their children. Those who have lost their lives to domestic violence are also honored at the event.
Participants are encouraged to collect pledges in support of their efforts, so it’s not too early to plan for the walk. Prizes will be awarded to top fundraisers.
The early bird registration fee, for individuals signed up by May 14, is $10. After May 14, the registration fee is $15. Individuals registering to participate the day of the walk will pay $20.
Children under age 12 may walk for free.
Registration the day of the walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. The 5K walk will kick off at 9:30 a.m. Or register early at WalkAwayFromViolence.Kintera.org or call (937) 531-5709.

I will be there! May even bring my daughter and see if the leadership would like to explain how they refuse to help males and apologize to her for the abuse she suffered with the help of their beliefs in gender being more important than facts in abuse.
