Pedorthist can reconstruct favorite shoes
There is such a thing as a pedorthist, who can turn a painful pair of shoes into a comfy pair by changing their construction.
An editor in Glamour magazine had a pedorthist turn a pair of Manolo stilletos into a lower style and raves about it.
Most of us don’t have shoes worth several hundred dollars, but all of us are getting older and with age comes foot problems. So if you have a beloved pair you’d like to reconstruct, look into it.

I have been going to Fred Toenges in Ft. Wayne, In for years! He is a certified pedorthist and has certified pedorthists and orthodists that work for him. He has been making my pumps,Nikes and work shoes comfortable for years. Locally, you might try Roderer’s in Town & Country. They used to have a pedorthist on staff. Fred’s ph# is 260 484-8783.

I saw a website - shoe inserts , claiming the most shoe manufacturers don’t have high quality inserts in them, even if the shoe is very expensive, or one that suppose to be a comfort shoe. Is it true? Do I still need a better orthotic than what I have in my running shoes? Source: www.shoeinserts.co
