One week before Christmas, which wines to taste?
What to give as a holiday gift, or serve on Christmas Day, or drink on New Year’s Eve? Take the guesswork out of your wine shopping by tasting the wines first, starting tonight, or especially tomorrow (Saturday), extending into next week. Pore through this wine-tastings list that is positively glistening with hidden gems, and your holiday shopping needs will soon resolve themselves.
Careful, though — some wine retailers that have weekly tastings the rest of the year cancel their tastings this time of year. (Sigh) I’m sure there are valid reasons for doing so, but it still does feel like a kick in the teeth, doesn’t it?
