Wedding bells signal wine mega-merger

As wine-related mergers go, this one’s a doozie: Gina Gallo, granddaughter of Julio Gallo and head winemaker for the giant family-owned wine producer, married Jean-Charles Boisset, who oversees the American operations of the third-largest wine producer in France, Boisset Family Estates, according to this story from Wine Enthusiast magazine’s web site and this Decanter.com story.

I bet they did not have cheap box wine at the wedding reception. Probably don’t have wine glasses listed on the bridal registry either.
