Wines to pair with … potato chips?
I love this idea: tasting through an array of wines to see which ones pair best with different flavors of potato chips. Yes, potato chips, from salt & pepper to “Buffalo Bleu.” That’s what the Dallas Morning News did in this piece entitled “9 terrific wines under $15 that go great with chips” …
I’m partial to BBQ chips. What do you think? I’m thinking a rich, smoky pinot noir, or perhaps a northern Rhone-style syrah …
Thanks to Cathy for passing along this little gem …

Mark I like your Rhone Syrah idea. I’m not much of a BBQ chip fan, but if I were I would probably also try a fruity & peppery zin.By Doc

Depending on the spiciness of the BBQ, how about a fruit Beaujolais (Moulin-a-Vent or Morgon)! I have not found a match for “Salt & Vinegar” chips other than a nice cold ESB beer.
