Wine tastings and dinners, as far as the eye can see
Once again, the Dayton-based wine listserv that compiles this region’s most comprehensive wine-tastings and events list has come through, so once again, we are afforded the opportunity to feast our eyes upon the assorted happenings at local wine shops, restaurants, grocers, wine bars and every other establishment that cares enough about fermented juice of the grape to offer us a tiny sample or two.
In addition to the regular list available below (or by clicking on “continue reading), The Melting Pot at 453 Miamisburg-Centerville Road in Washington Twp. is hosting a “Strong & Bynum Wine Dinner” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26. The event will feature wines from Davis Bynum and Rodney Strong paired with a five-course fondue dinner. Guests will be Liz Rutherford from Rodney Strong Wine Estates and Kevin Bratton of Allied Wines.The cost is $59, and reservations are required.
