These wine tastings will help usher in spring (or is it summer already?)

As we transition directly from winter into summer. bypassing spring entirely, we at least have the consolation of knowing we live in the most happenin’ wine community in the universe, as evidenced by the following wine tastings and events list that comes to Uncorked via the herculean efforts of a Dayton-based wine listserv (okay, this time I actually added one wine dinner myself. Stop the presses.)

And don’t forget next weekend’s Cincinnati International Wine Festival’s grand tastings … The Dayton area will benefit from some “spillover effect” this coming week as winemakers and winery reps who come to southwest Ohio early sneak up to Dayton to show off their wines before the festival gets going in earnest on Friday.

Madison’s Bistro at 5531 Far Hills Ave. in Washington Twp. will host a wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, featuring the wines of Del Rio Vineyards in Gold Hill, Oregon.
