Incumbents pull, file petitions

As of this week, just incumbents have pulled or filed petitions to run for open seats on township boards this November.

Up for grabs are two spots on both the Liberty and West Chester townships’ boards of trustees.

Seats include those currently held by Christine Matacic and Patrick Hiltman in Liberty, and Catherine Stoker and Lee Wong in West Chester.

Also as of this week, Wong is the only to have actually filed his petition with the Butler County Board of Elections. He turned it in Feb. 4.

Matacic and Hiltman pulled their petitions in February; Stoker pulled her petition last week, according to the BOE.

Each of the local legislators was elected to office in 2005.
