Trustees, musical chairs and electric agg update
As per their usual duties for the first meeting of the year, Trustees appointed a new president to the board and set meeting dates for the rest of 2009. (Meeting dates are attached below.)
Trustee Catherine Stoker is the new president of the West Chester Twp. Board of Trustees. The 15-year-veteran of the board relieves Trustees George Lang of his duties as president.
Lang gave up the center seat at the township’s administration building “due to some things going on in my private business, I will not have the time.”
Lang will, however, become the board’s vice president.
Joked Lang upon switching chairs with Stoker: “I gotta’ sit in the democrat’s chair, don’t I? There’s been a democrat sitting in this chair for (15) years.”
The board also requested Trustee Lee Wong serve on the county’s Emergency Management Agency Board, but Wong declined, saying he would rather focus his efforts on West Chester.
Instead, Lang will be the township’s representative on the EMA Board replacing Stoker.
And, there’s an update on the progress of the possibility of electric aggregation.
Thoughts on any of this?’
Here’s the meeting schedule for the rest of the year:
