Vandalism

The Fifth Third West Chester Concert Series continues at Keehner Park Sunday with Robin Lacy and DeZydeco.

There was something unexpected at the park earlier this week, though, when vandals painted graffiti on some of the park structures.

This is the second case of park vandalism I’ve heard of in the past month; skateboarders caused about $7,000 in damage to The Square @ Union Centre less than a month after it opened.

I’m looking into the effect of vandalism on a community: what does it do to the places that are damaged, and how does it affect the township from a broader perspective?

So what do you think? Are graffiti and vandalism problems in your part of West Chester Twp? Are they significant issues in the township, or are we better off in that department than other communities? Post your thoughts.
