Another event coming to West Chester?

One of the items on the agenda for tonight’s township trustee meeting caught my eye, and I thought I’d share it here in advance.

The meeting is scheduled to start with a proclamation regarding the German Day Weekend celebration, scheduled for May 31 to June 1.

This is the first I’ve heard of this event. Not sure when or where it’s going to happen, or what it’s going to involve, but I’ll post the news as soon as I know.

In the meantime, it seems from my vantage point that West Chester Twp. has a number of new and newer events filling the summer weekends: Dog Fest, KiteFest, last year’s Freedom Fest, the Beer Barons weekend a few weeks ago, and now this.

What do you think of these events? Are you attending them? Do you find enough to do around here, or do you have to head out of town to get your kicks?
