New specialty foods and craft beer store now open

CLAYTON — A specialty foods, craft beer and wine shop called Suzie’s Fine Food & Drink has opened at 8355 N. Main St. in the Randolph Plaza Towne Center.

The store — owned by Susan Valley of Harrison Twp. and Steve Clower, also of Harrison Twp. — sells bread made at Rinaldo’s bakery of Dayton, imported and domestic cheeses, pasta sauces, several types of olives, vinegars and olive oils. It also sells tuna salad and chicken salad in bulk and as sandwiches. Party trays can be ordered.

The shop sells 50 types of craft beer and offers a small selection of domestic wines. “We’re trying to expand our wines from week to week,” Valley said.

Valley worked for a Dayton-based non-profit agency until her position was eliminated. Unable to find a job, she decided to launch the specialty foods shop. “I created a position for myself,” Valley said.

Suzie’s Fine Food & Drink is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday. For more information, call (937) 665-0505.
