Grand opening today for downtown Dayton restaurant
DAYTON — The new restaurant called De’Lish that we first told you about back in September and mentioned again nine days ago is having a grand-opening celebration from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 3, at 139 N. Main St. across from the Victoria Theatre.
Samples from De’Lish’s menu will be available, and there will be entertainment. And according to a news release from the Downtown Dayton Partnership, De’Lish co-owners Tawana Knight and Jasmine Brown will offer two specials for guests who show a business card from a downtown employer. During the grand opening, those guests will receive a coupon for a free beverage good during their next visit. Then, on Tuesday, Dec. 7, and Wednesday, Dec. 8, downtown employees who buy one lunch entree will receive a second of equal or lesser value at half price.
De’Lish serves breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday and dinners on Fridays and Saturdays. Initial hours are: Monday through Thursday: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday 7 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. (kitchen closed from 3 to 5 p.m.), and Saturday 5 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
The breakfast menu includes breakfast sandwiches, Fruit yogurt cups, muffins, bagels and pumpkin bread; the lunch menu includes sandwiches, paninis, soups and salads; and the “small plates” menu includes crawfish fondue with garlic bread, asparagus fries with Creole mustard, beef tostado with jerk seasoning, Cajun wings with sweet barbeque sauce, lamb chop with Creole stuffing, and quesadilla with Pico de Gallo salsa and sour cream.
