New Asian restaurant opens on Wilmington Avenue

The new Asian restaurant called CJ Chan at 536 Wilmington Ave. in Dayton that we first mentioned two weeks ago opened today, Nov. 18.

The restaurant — on Wilmington between Shroyer Road and Irving Avenue, just east of the University of Dayton campus in a spot that formerly housed a Curves fitness center — offers Chinese and Japanese dishes, including sushi. It is owned by the husband-and-wife team of Hi Chan and Juan Zhang of Englewood. The couple owned and operated Dragon City restaurant at 3031 N. Gettysburg Ave. in Dayton before selling the business, Hi Chan said.

The restaurant seats about 40. Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
