Springfield softball wins again

The Springfield High School softball team beat Beavercreek 11-6 on Wednesday, April 29.

That’s four wins in seven games for the Wildcats, who started the season 1-11.

Wildcats pitcher Cecelia DeBartolo picked up the win with eight strikeouts. Catcher Brittny Biles had four runs batted in. Whitney Perkins had two hits and Jamie Easterday two RBIs.

Springfield is now 5-14 and 2-5 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference Central Division. The Wildcats are in fourth place in the Central, with two division games left against Northmont and one against Centerville.
