Where are they now: Troy Perkins
Former Springfield native Troy Perkins was a professional soccer player for D.C. United until 2007.
He won the 2006 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year award.
He currently plays for the Norwegian Club Vålerenga I.F. of the Tippeligaen.
He started his first game for the U.S. Men’s National Team in a 3-2 win over Sweden on Jan. 24.
