CJ grad promoting hit movie

A 2005 Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School grad is spreading the word about a movie famed Hollywood mogul George Lucas began developing 23 years.

Taylor Jillian Robinson is promoting the hit film “Red Tails,” a fictionalized tale based on the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, a legendary group of African American pilots who fought in World War II.

The 2009 graduate of Miami University in Oxford joined Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light and Magic as a public relations and communications coordinator a few months after graduating University of Southern California with a master’s degree in Strategic public relations in 2011.

Among other things, she worked with the media, set up screens and interacted with Tuskegee Airmen all over the country.

“Its so humbling to see all of the things they all have done,” she said. Red Tails debut earned an estimated $19.1 million Friday to Sunday.

Congratulations Taylor Robinson we appreciate your work on this historical representation. I see Ms. Robinson’s quote was not complete. She said, “It’s a humbling experience to be a part of this film and see all of the things that have been done.”

The Tuskegee group is one of the most un-recognized units that served in the war, they have a stellar record of not loosing a single Bomber that they escorted on missions, and became the most requested escorts, by the Bomber crews, yet they don’t get any credit for that, because of the discrimination that was still happening back then…

Taylor, I have heard though your mother Fran and friend Teresa Peretta that you are doing great in California. Now you prove it! Can’t wait to see the film!

Sorry, I saw the movie and it was terrible. It does not do this group of American heroes justice. It should have been in a comic book.

Hats off to George Lucas and the Lucus crew for bringing this part of our history to life. I understand he funded this himself, which speaks volumes about his character and beliefs. Something great to be a part of! Congrats TJR!
