Chocolate covered bacon to be sold at fair
They say bacon makes everything better. Apparently that goes for chocolate as well.
A Concessions by Cox booth will sell chocolate covered bacon at the 159th Montgomery County Fair Aug. 31 to Sept. 5, according to Debbie Long, the fairground’s office secretary.
Long said she’ll try it out.
“Why not? Who doesn’t like salt and sweet? I’ll give it a shot,” Long said. “Anything covered in chocolate has to be good except bugs. I don’t think I’d go that far.”
Chocolate covered bacon apparently started showing up at fairs around the nation a few years ago.
The fairgrounds are located at 1043 South Main St., Dayton. General admission is $5. There is free gate admission for lunch 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 31 to Sept. 2.

Sounds good to me…although I thought the same about the chocolate covered potato chips and they just used way too much chocolate on those.

Sacrilege! Bacon is perfect all on its own. What’s next, chocolate-covered pork chops?
