Alan Jackson could give a free concert in Dayton

You could help bring Alan Jackson to Dayton with a few clicks.

The country singer and Eventful, Inc. will give a free concert to the city that receives the most “demands” as part of a contest being done in conjunction with the release of his new album this fall, according to Country Weekly.

Click here to “demand” Jackson comes to Dayton.

There is one vote per person per city. The contest ends 10 a.m Oct. 10.

Fifty of Jackson’s singles have appeared on Billboard’s list of the “Top 30 Country Songs.” His hits include “Here in the Real World,” “Gone Country,” “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning,” and “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.”

Word about the contest is being spread on Facebook.

K99.1 FM, a Cox Media Group Ohio station, is among those who have posted a link to the contest on the social networking site.

I never was an Alan Jackson fan until his “Precious Memories” Gospel album from 2005. It was my Grandma’s favorite CD and was played at her funeral visitation. Those songs are now dear to me. Thanks Alan!

Thanks but no thanks. I donot care for country music . I would rather listen to cats scream or watch paint dry.
