Zumba party to rock Washington Twp. club
From Robin McMacken, Staff Writer
If you want to enjoy a 150-calorie glass of white wine this weekend at South Beach Nite Club, you might want to hit the dance floor during the club’s Zumba party first to burn anywhere from 500 to 700 calories.
Consider it a more than fair caloric exchange as well as great way to have fun and stay fit.
Zumba classes start this week at South Beach Nite Club, 729 Lyons Road, Washington, Twp., Montgomery County. According to club owner Shawn Oliver, the international flavor of the high-energy dance-exercise form will appeal to South Beach’s diverse audience.
Certified Zumba instructor Melissa Blair will lead a preview class from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
The first official Zumba club party will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. Participants will pay $5 to join the dance.
Next week, classes will be offered Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Blair said more classes may be added in the future, and various Zumba instructors will be brought in to teach.
For more information, call the club at (937) 439-9040.
