Matt Lauer survives deer attack

A deer took down a Bobcat in Long Island this weekend.

“Today Show” host, hot dad and Ohio University graduate Matt Lauer survived a vicious run in with Bambi’s mom.

OK, that’s an exaggeration.

Lauer was riding a bike in Long Island when a deer jumped in his path, according to the Associated Press.

Lauer flipped over the handlebars and injured his shoulder.

He joked about the incident in an e-mail, saying that perhaps the deer was hired by competitors.

“I’d hire the deer,” Today Show co-host Meredith Vieira joked on the show that aired Monday, March 23. “But just to graze him.”

Um - an attack? That doesn’t sound like an attack - that sounds like a collision.

Why would DDN care what anyone thinks about yet another of its insipid topics? Must be a slow news day at your offices. This is pure hick town stuff.
