Ellen confronts Puffy about opening up his house for Chris Brown, Rihanna make up

On her show that aired Tuesday, March 10, Ellen DeGeneres confronted music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs about criticism that he opened his Miami home to Chris Brown and Rihanna just weeks after police say Brown beat the pop princess.

“Why would you do that?” DeGeneres asked. “I don’t understand.”

“I know both of them and it’s my house,” an uncomfortable Combs told the talk show host. “I am allowed to give my house to anyone I want to who ever I want to give my house to.”

Combs said he is not going pass judgement or get involved.

“I’m going to be there as a friend,” he said. “It’s a dark time for them, and I’m there more as a support.”

But DeGeneres said was clearly concerned about the couple’s reunion.

Brown, who was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats last week, allegedly savagely beat Rihanna last month.

DeGeneres is just the latest celebrity to chime in on the case.

“I don’t want any girl out there thinking it’s OK to go back to a guy who hit her,” she said.

Combs said that sometimes relationships “get ugly.” He said there are a lot of stones being thrown and people should pray for the couple.

“I don’t think it’s right for anybody to hit anybody,” he said. We don’t know exactly what’s going on.”

Brown has withdrawn his name from the Kid’s Choice Awards set to air Saturday, March 28.
